Land for sale
It is a first batch of the National Bank of agricultural lands on a total of over 20 thousand hectares. The 8,174 hectares of agricultural land are distributed among almost all regions of Italy, with a greater concentration in Sicily (1700 hectares), Tuscany and Basilicata (1300), Puglia (1200), and Sardinia (660). The crops are: arable land, pastures, woods and almost 800 hectares for olive groves and vineyards.
How does it work
The Bank, managed by Ismea, is online.
On the www.ismea.it website you can search public land for sale by Region and get information on location, natural features, types of crops and the price of the auction base. Users can consult the Bank also for the size of the land available.
From 5 December to 3 February 2018, it is possible to present one’s own expression of interest. At the end of the terms, a competitive procedure will be launched to public evidence among those who have expressed interest. The under 40 will have access to subsidized loans.
Support for young farmers
“The resources deriving from the sale of land will be totally dedicated to the support of young farmers,” explained Minister Martina. “A work that we are carrying out with more instruments, looking above all at generational change.
In these days we have also closed the call for the first settlement in agriculture, which helps the under 40s to buy land and businesses.
More than 3 thousand hectares of land and 100 new companies are born thanks to the 60 million euros we have invested with Ismea.
