Ftse Italia Brands, the made in Italy team at Piazza Affari. A new index is born in the Italian Stock Exchange which includes the 22 listed companies included in the Italian Listed Brands window, and already included in the Ftse Italia All-Share. To characterize and share the stocks chosen by industrial and financial analysts, both Italian and international, there are not only the typical characteristics of investability (capitalization, floating, liquidity) but above all intangible assets such as brand perception and distinctive positioning with respect to competitors.<\/p>\n
There are two sectors of greater weight in the new index, the automotive and personal goods sectors (excluding in fashion Aeffe, Italia Independent, Stefanel and Caleffi).<\/p>\n

The Ftse Italia Brands index will be open, ready to attract even foreign companies.<\/p>\n
The 22 titles were chosen from a first panel of 60.<\/p>\n
“Italy has many top brands,” said Raffaele Jerusalmi, CEO of Borsa Italiana, “and this index responds to the need to make the most of them.<\/p>\n
The companies that are part of today are 22, but the showcase could expand in the future, for an index that we count will become an index that can be invested \u00bb.<\/p>\n
The market capitalization of the 22 companies is equal to 110 billion euros, while 13 billion have been collected since 2000 via IPO and investments.<\/p>\n
“Milan is the reference point for Italian lifestyle quotations,” added Patrizia Celia, Borsa Italiana’s Head of Large Caps and Market Intelligence, “as highlighted by the presence of successful companies like Moncler and Cucinelli, from the fact that Yoox has also moved its capital after merger with Net-a-porter and, lastly, by the return of Pirelli to the stock market and by the decision of Essilor-Luxottica to remain listed also in Milan.<\/p>\n
The creation of the new index is only the most recent confirmation of Borsa Italiana’s desire to focus on the luxury sector “.<\/p>\n
